A high-performance e-commerce platform built with Flutter and Firebase, featuring real-time inventory synchronization, secure authentication, and a premium user interface.

Problem :
Modern mobile shoppers demand speed and simplicity, yet many fashion apps suffer from high cart abandonment due to clunky navigation and disconnected data. The challenge was to bridge the gap between a high-end, "boutique" visual experience and a backend capable of handling complex product variations (sizes, colors, stock) in real-time without slowing down the user.
Solution :
I developed a serverless e-commerce solution using Flutter for the frontend and Firebase for the backend. The app features a highly intuitive product discovery flow, a dynamic shopping cart that manages multiple item variants, and a multi-step secure checkout. By leveraging Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, I ensured that user profiles, orders, and addresses (like the Kigali delivery example) are synchronized instantly across all devices.
Challenge :
The primary technical hurdle was state management ensuring that the cart remains accurate across multiple screens while the user toggles between complex product variants. Integrating real-time location and address validation for the checkout flow required precise handling of asynchronous data. I also focused heavily on UI performance, ensuring that the heavy use of high-quality product imagery didn't compromise the app’s smooth 60fps scrolling.
Summary :
Aura Fashion is a production-ready demonstration of how the Flutter + Firebase stack can be used to build scalable retail products. The project highlights my ability to design premium, dark-mode interfaces while engineering robust, real-time backend systems. It successfully delivers a professional shopping experience that prioritizes user conversion and data security.
